MEET YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND!

Hiring a photographer is so much more than hiring someone to take photos.  If you just want a photograph, you use a smart phone,  but if you want to capture a memory, a moment frozen in time, you choose a photographer.

Hello folks, my name is Jennifer (Jen) Wessler.  I am the mastermind behind Oh So Sweet Studios.   Once upon a time, photography was all about just taking a perfect photo; applying everything I knew about my camera, lighting and poses to capture a great shot. Then I started photographing professionally.  I no longer took just the shots I wanted to compose or other people asked me to compose, I now had clients. Real people, with real backgrounds, real stories, real smiles!  I'm a people person so by nature a photo session couldn't be just "ok now stand here, look here, aaaaaand smile!"  I have pizzazz, I have spunk, I also understand kids and husbands don't like taking photos in the first place. So instead I converse with my clients during shoots.  Whether I am shooting a wedding, family, or children's session, I get to know the people I am photographing, the relationships between them and what makes them smile.  I'm energetic, a self proclaimed comedian, and a natural born leader. I will direct you through your session with a smile, I will chase your children, I will joke with even the grumpiest of teenagers, I'll crack a joke and I assure you I will get those real emotions out of you.  That is my specialty, folks. All of my previous clients will tell you this: a photo session with me is not just a photo shoot, it's an experience. I sincerely care about my clients. Whether we spend 30 minutes or 10 hours together I will get to know you, I will tell stories about our time together, and I will never forget you.  At the end of the day, you are the ones who allow me to do what I love for a living, and spend as much time as humanly possible with those  adorable faces you see on this page, and for that I am so thankful to you.

Luckily for me, I don't do it all alone anymore. Nowadays, I also have some other folks who photograph alongside me or on sessions by themselves. There’s Sara Wicker . She has the best ideas, a great eye, and is a boy mama and understands the energy of your little one! There’s Claudia, who you’ll see a whole lot of, she’s the mama of the sweetest little one year old named Lanson, and she helps keep my brain organized and takes some amazing photos! There’s Amanda Chase, a tall beautiful red headed mama of two, who has photographed with me for years; and finally my husband Charlie, who just couldn’t help but get a camera in his hands throughout the years. And if you are really lucky, and catch one of his mini sessions, you’ll get to work with my son Adrian, the oldest of my pack, who aspires to be a photographer and take over the family business one day. Adrian has a great eye and I am so proud of him. Occasionally he will run a $50 special, with my assistance to earn money for something he wants or a give back project he is working on.

Well there you have it folks. That's the studio in a nut shell.  I sincerely hope you give us a chance and let us capture your next chapter :)

Meet Adrian, my oldest, born November 11, 2010. He is the sweetest old soul you’ll ever meet, I am constantly learning from him and his giving heart. He also happens to be a photographer himself and hopes to take over the family business one day. Adrian is why I’m a full time photographer. The moment I had him, I realized I wanted to spend as much time with him as humanly possible, and doing photography in my hometown allowed me to do that. It also allowed me to meet all the other families in town, and get to know them, which allowed me to be truly invested in the town my children are growing up in. I like to remind my son that I have eyes and ears everywhere in this town, and thanks to all my wonderful clients who have turned into friends, my boys have a lot of eyes on them keeping them safe and out of trouble.

This is Addox (ax), my baby. Born September 16, 2017, after having me in labor all day on my 30th birthday (September 15), this kiddo has been a ball of excitement since day one. He is funny and kind and so inquisitive. He has also become my guinea pig for mini session sets because he allows me to see how young children will react to things in a set. So know before you hit one of our mini sessions, it has been Addox tested and approved.

Meet Jaxon. This is my middle child, born September 1, 2012. He is my mini me. He is funny, charismatic, and a total people person. He has hands down made me the photographer I am today. Each client that works with me will tell you how energetic and good with kids I am. Well Jax is the reason why. He doesn't sit still, he doesn't smile on command, he makes crazy faces when I ask for a photo and he complains when my camera is focused on him. He taught me how to capture those amazing candid moments, and made me truly cherish those great photos we get. If you ever think "my kid can't handle a photo session," don't worry, I have your back.

This is Lyric, my beautiful stepdaughter. She is the little girl I prayed for, and one of the lights of my life. She is funny and creative and she is tough as nails. She’s not always the biggest fan of getting all dressed up for photos, but every once in a while she entertain me. Most of the time, you’ll catch this beautiful little girl right along side her brothers, running through the mud, catching animals, hiking, and playing in the water. She completes my heart, Being a part of a blended family helps me understand all different kinds of unique family dynamics and the different images your blended family will want to have.
